Overview

Gangotri Dham, located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, is one of the Chota Char Dham and marks the origin of the holy River Ganga. Dedicated to Goddess Ganga, this sacred temple is nestled in the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,100 meters (10,200 ft).
